HOBART, Australia (AP) _ Leisel Jones broke the 100-metre breaststroke short-course world record for the second time in two days, and Libby Lenton set a world mark in the 100 butterfly Monday at the Australian short-course championships.
Jones finished in one minute 3.86 seconds, beating her mark in the semifinals Sunday night by 0.26 seconds.
``I didn't think I actually had it in me, so I just had to psych myself up for it and found something that I probably didn't think I had,'' Jones said. ``You never know how much you've got left in you because last night I would've said I couldn't go any faster.''
Lenton beat Jessicah Schipper to win the 100 butterfly in 55.95 seconds, taking 0.39 off the mark set by U.S. star Nathalie Coughlin in 2002.
``It's such a great feeling, such a rush,'' Lenton said.
Schipper, who set a long-course world record in the 200 butterfly at the Pan Pacific championships in Victoria last week, placed second in 56.66.
Short-course races are contested in 25-meter pools. Olympic pools are 50 metres.
