KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) _ World sprint record-holder Asafa Powell will warm up for the final Golden League meet at Wednesday's Pedro's Cup in Poland, his agent said.
He will compete against a largely Polish field and training partner Michael Frater, his agent Paul Doyle said Tuesday.
The race is in preparation for Sunday's ISTAF meet in Berlin and a chance at a $1 million US bonus, which will be shared among those who win their event at all six Golden League meets.
Powell, who twice this season has run 9.77 seconds in the 100, is among four athletes who remain in contention for the Golden League jackpot.
Others who have won their events at the previous Golden League meets are 400-metre Olympic champion Jeremy Wariner, 5,000-metre world champion Tirunesh Dibaba and Sanya Richards in the women's 400.
