Svetlana Kuznetsova beats Lindsay Davenport to move into Wismilak final

Top-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia beat defending champion American Lindsay Davenport 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5) Saturday to advance to the final of the Wismilak International tennis tournament.

Kuznetsova, who won the Wismilak title in 2002 and 2004, will next face the winner of the other semifinal between second-seeded Patty Schnyder of Switzerland and sixth-seeded Marion Bartoli of France.

Kuznetsova is now 2-3 against Davenport, and won for the first time in four matches against her.
