Marcos Baghdatis won his first career title, defeating Mario Ancic 6-4, 6-0 Sunday in the China Open final.
Baghdatis, the Australian Open runner-up, applied pressure in the second set roll past Ancic, who returned from a two-month layoff because of a knee injury to reach his fourth final this season.
Baghdatis, a Cypriot who lost to Andre Agassi at the U.S. Open, is now 1-3 against Ancic.
The women's China Open begins Monday, and Amelie Mauresmo is the top seed.
Svetlana Kuznetsova is seeded second, Nadia Petrova is third and Nicole Vaidisova is fourth.
