preserve the Colorado Rapids' 0-0 tie with the Los Angeles Galaxy on
Saturday night.
The Rapids (11-11-6) moved into a two-way tie with Houston for
second place in the Western Conference. The Galaxy (9-13-6) drew
within five points of a playoff spot with four games left.
Cannon blocked Herculez Gomez's 10-yard shot while prone on his
stomach in the 90th minute. Cannon remained prone on the field
momentarily but continued playing.
Cannon also dived to block Tyrone Marshall's eight-yard shot in
the 55th minute, and finished with three saves for his seventh
shutout of the season.
Galaxy goalkeeper Kevin Hartman also made three saves for his
eighth shutout of the year and 61st of his career. Hartman trails
all-time MLS shutout leader Tony Meola by one.

made his MLS debut as a substitute in the 85th minute. Miglioranzi
was a two-time all American at St. John's.

Galaxy, who are coached by Vancouver native and former Canadian
national team coach Frank Yallop.
