LONDON (AP) _ Sevilla will host Tottenham in the first leg of the UEFA Cup quarter-finals Thursday in a match between two former champions.
Sevilla beat Middlesbrough in last year's final, while Tottenham won the trophy in 1972 and '84.
Bayer Leverkusen, the only other team in the last eight that has won the UEFA Cup, will play at Osasuna in another quarter-final match.
Also, Espanyol hosts Benfica and AZ Alkmaar takes on visiting Werder Bremen. The second legs are scheduled for next Thursday.
Sevilla has been challenging FC Barcelona for the Spanish league title all season, but a 0-0 draw at Osasuna on Sunday kept it two points behind the defending champion.
Frederic Kanoute, the Spanish league's leading scorer with 19 goals, is expected to start against his old team despite a minor injury. Tottenham forward Robbie Keane is looking forward to it.
``He's a fantastic player and he's doing very well over there,'' Keane said. ``It will be nice to shake his hand after the game following a Tottenham win.''
Tottenham beat Reading 1-0 in the Premier League on Sunday, with Keane converting a penalty for the only goal in the 40th minute.
Sevilla, which is looking to become the first team since Real Madrid in 1986 to win consecutive titles, will be missing striker Luis Fabiano. Defender Ivica Dragutinovic is doubtful with an injury.
Osasuna is in the bottom half of the Spanish league standings and will be without defensive midfielders Patxi Punal and Javad Nekounam against Leverkusen. Defender Josetxo Romero and midfielder Ludovic Delporte also are sidelined.
``To knock us out they'll have to be tough on us, really tough,'' Osasuna coach Jose Angel Ziganda said. ``We'll put up strong resistance and let's see if we can get back here for the second leg with a chance.''
Leverkusen, which beat Mainz 3-1 in the Bundesliga on Saturday, will be looking to teenage defender Gonzalo Castro for some help against the Spanish team.
Recently called into Germany's national team, the 19-year-old Castro set up a goal for teammate Bernd Schneider earlier in the competition.
``He is extraordinarily gifted when it comes to his football skills, especially considering his age,'' Leverkusen coach Michael Ribbe said.
AZ Alkmaar is in third place in the Dutch league and reached the UEFA Cup semifinals two seasons ago. The team beat RKC Waalwijk 2-0 Saturday.
On Monday, AZ signed coach Louis van Gaal to a contract extension that will keep him at the team until 2010. Midfielder Haris Medunjanin also has signed an extension.
Bremen, which trails Bundesliga leader Schalke by only two points, was held to a 0-0 draw by Energie Cottbus on Saturday.
Espanyol, which reached the UEFA Cup final in 1988, has injury doubts over midfielder Albert Riera and defender Javi Chica, while midfielder Costas Katsouranis is suspended.
``We are going to give our all to try and reach the semifinals,'' Espanyol midfielder Ivan de la Pena said. ``Benfica doesn't beat us when it comes to optimism.''
Benfica will be missing defender Luisao Silva, who is out with a right knee injury.
On Sunday, Benfica held Portuguese league leader FC Porto to a 1-1 draw, while Espanyol lost at Valencia 3-2 Saturday.
