Real Madrid will have defenders Fabio Cannavaro and Sergio Ramos back for Tuesday's Champions League Group E match at Steaua Bucharest (TSN, midnight ET on tape delay).
Coming off a surprise 1-0 loss at Getafe in the Spanish league, Madrid's defensive problems will be helped by the expected return of Cannavaro after his knee injury and Ramos from a one-game ban.
``The defense problems were resolved by the recovery of Sergio Ramos,'' coach Fabio Capello said Monday. ``It is an important match and we must now allow a goal, especially because we are playing away.''
Madrid is fifth in the Spanish league, five points behind leader FC Barcelona, and Capello could start Robinho for the first time this season with Madrid's form needing to improve.
``I hope to resolve Real's problems in Bucharest in the match against Steaua,'' Capello said.
Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas called the loss to Getafe ``the worst game I can remember us playing. We have to turn the page and think about our next game against Steaua Bucharest.''
Lyon leads the group with six points, three ahead of Madrid and Steaua. Dynamo Kyiv has no points.
Steaua, the 1986 European champion which has returned to the Champions League after a 10-year absence, won 4-1 at Dynamo before losing 3-0 at home to Lyon in its first two games.
``We are meeting one of the best teams in the world, but I hope we learned something from our match with Lyon,'' Steaua coach Cosmin Olaroiu said. ``A win over Real is possible, but we must be very careful because at this level any mistake can be fatal.''
Steaua defender Dorin Goian is fit and expected to start, but the form of goalkeeper Carlos Fernandes is a concern. His errors led to goals against Lyon and in the league match against CFR Cluj on Saturday.
