Andrius Velicka scored twice Hearts
rallied from two goals down and playing with 10 me to capture a 2-2
tie at neighbour Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday.
Two days after manager Tony Mowbray left the club to move to
English League Championship club West Bromwich Albion, Hibs went 2-0
up by the 16th minute at Easter Road.
Merouane Zemmama scored after five minutes from a layoff from
Chris Killen. Zemmama then took the corner for Killen to score 11
minutes later.
Velicka replied in the 28th after a mistake by Hibs goalkeeper
Zbigniew Malkowski. The Polish international raced off his line, but
failed to get to the ball and Velicka lobbed it into an empty net.
Hearts was reduced to 10 men when Saulius Mikoliunas was sent off
for his second yellow card in the 59th. But Velicka tied the score
in the 72nd with a low shot after collecting a through ball from
Paul Hartley.
Hearts has 20 points from 10 games, five behind defending
champion Celtic, which won 4-1 at last-place Dundee United on
Saturday.
Rangers stayed third but fell 10 points behind Celtic after its
1-0 loss at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
In other games Saturday, it was: Falkirk 1, St. Mirren 1;
Kilmarnock 1, Aberdeen 0; and Motherwell 2, Dunfermline 1.
