Poland coach Leo Beenhakker dropped Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek for the 2008 European Championship qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Portugal.
Dudek, who returned to the national team last month after missing the World Cup, was at fault as Poland lost 3-1 loss to Finland in its opening qualifier. He then sat out Poland's 1-1 draw with Serbia.
Beenhakker instead picked Celtic No. 1 Artur Boruc on Friday for the Oct. 7 match against Kazakhstan and four days later versus Portugal. The 26-year-old Boruc has been in solid form for his club, while Dudek has not played a game this season for Liverpool.
Beenhakker also called up Southampton striker Grzegorz Rasiak for the first time since he took over in July.
The 63-year-old Dutchman coached Trinidad and Tobago at this year's World Cup.
