beat FC Groningen 3-2 in the Dutch league on Saturday.
Babel gave Ajax the lead in the 51st minute, before Ukraine

56th.
Four minutes later, Luis Suarez scored to put Groningen ahead,
but Babel levelled in the 74th.

It was the first loss of the season for Groningen, which hasn't
won at the Amsterdam Arena in 12 years.
Substitute Gretar Steinsson and Danny Koevermans scored a goal
each in AZ Alkmaar's 2-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam.
At Breda, striker Romano Denneboom scored two goals inside five
minutes to help NEC Nijmegen beat NAC Breda 2-0. NAC, which is
winless at home this season, had two early chances denied by
Hungarian goalkeeper Gabor Babos before Donneboon scored in the 17th
and 21st minutes.
Babos, who played 126 matches for NAC between June 2000 and July
2004, made two diving saves to deny Mike Zonneveld in the first 10
minutes.
Ajax leads the standings with 18 points one ahead of second-place
AZ. Groningen dropped to third with 14 points. PSV Eindhoven has 13
points.
In another seventh-round match, Onur Kaya scored in Vitesse
Arnhem's 1-0 win over beat Willem II.

defender Stijn Vreven sent off for handling in the box. N'Kufo
scored from the resulting penalty in the 58th minute.
On Sunday, defending champion PSV hopes to maintain its 28-match
unbeaten home record stretching back to December 2004 when it plays
Roda JC.
Roda was the last Eredivisie side to win at PSV's Philips
Stadium.
Also Sunday, it's: Heracles Almelo vs. SC Heerenveen; Excelsior
Rotterdam vs. FC Utrecht; and RKC Waalwijk vs. Feyenoord.
