Italy beats Ukraine 2 0 for first win since World Cup title

World champion Italy got back on track in European Championship qualifying with a 2-0 win over Ukraine on Saturday.

It was Italy's first victory since winning the World Cup in July.

The Azzurri now have four points in Group B, which is led by Scotland on nine.

Italy struggled in its opening two Euro 2008 qualifiers _ a 1-1 draw with Lithuania and 3-1 loss to France.

Against Ukraine, the Azzurri appeared headed for another disappointing result before Massimo Oddo and Toni scored in the 70th and 79th minutes.
