Angelos Charisteas scored an early penalty Wednesday to lead Greece to a 4-0 win over 10-man Bosnia _ its third straight European Championship qualifying victory.
Christos Patsatzoglou, Giorgos Samaras and Costas Katsouranis scored for Greece in the second half.
Charisteas converted in the ninth minute, silencing 18,000 fans at Bilino Polje Stadium. Russian referee Yuri Baskalov awarded the penalty after Dalibor Silic used his hand to block a cross from Stelios Giannakopoulos.
Patsatzoglou scored his first international goal in the 82nd, firing a powerful shot at an angle past substitute goalkeeper Almir Tolja. Three minutes later, Samaras tapped the ball past Tolja.
Katsouranis closed the scoring in the third minute of injury time with a 30-yard lob, after spotting the goalkeeper out of position.
Sasa Papac was sent off in the 49th minute, after Giannakopoulos was brought down outside the area. Television replays clearly showed that Emir Spahic had committed the foul.
The defending champion Greeks, tied with Turkey with nine points atop Group C, traveled to Bosnia following wins over Moldova and Norway.
