Hertha Berlin became one of five teams at the top of the Bundesliga when it drew 2-2 against visiting Stuttgart on Sunday.
Also, Bayer Leverkusen beat Schalke 3-1 and ruined Schalke's chance of taking sole possession of the lead.
Berlin, Nuremberg, Werder Bremen, Bayern Munich and Schalke all have 10 points after six rounds. Berlin leads on goal difference.
Stuttgart took an early lead when Mario Gomez put the visitors ahead in the fourth minute. But Arne Friedrich equalized five minutes later and Marko Pantelic gave Berlin a 2-1 lead in the 14th.
Cacau then levelled in the second half, when Stuttgart wasted several opportunities to win.
In Leverkusen, Gonzalo Castro had two goals to help Leverkusen score its second victory of the season.
Leverkusen also had to rally, after falling behind in the seventh minute to a goal by Marcelo Bordon.
But Castro equalized in the 28th and then put Leverkusen ahead for good two minutes into the second half. Carsten Ramelow put the game out of reach by scoring Leverkusen's third in the 56th.
On Saturday, defending champion Bayern lost at Wolfsburg 1-0 and failed to gain any ground on its challengers, the team's second defeat only three days after beating Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Germany reserve striker Mike Hanke scored the only goal in the 36th minute to give Wolfsburg its first win of the season and lift his team from the bottom of the standings to 14th place.
Nuremberg drew 1-1 with visiting Mainz.
In other top games, Hamburger SV came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt but extended its run without a win to 13 games, while Werder Bremen trounced Borussia Moenchengladbach 3-0.
Also, Arminia Bielefeld beat Energie Cottbus 3-1 and Alemannia Aachen edged Bochum 2-1.
