Bayern Munich travels to Sporting Lisbon for a Champions League match on Wednesday with a wary eye on a 19-year-old midfielder.
Sporting's Nani has pace and footwork that have earned him a place in the Portugal team and he has drawn interest from big European clubs.
Paired with Joao Moutinho, a 20-year-old who has also made coach Luiz Felipe Scolari's Portugal side, Nani could provide plenty of problems for the German champion.
``I think he's one of the most interesting young players in Europe,'' Bayern coach Felix Magath said of the teenager.
For the third season in a row four-time European champion Bayern has won its first two games of the Champions League and leads the group. It has yet to concede a goal.
Sporting doesn't have its adversary's European pedigree. It reached last year's UEFA Cup final, but lost 3-1 against CSKA Moscow at its own Alvalade stadium and coach Paulo Bento is rebuilding the squad.
The attack is Brazilian, featuring last season's leading scorer, Liedson, alongside off-season signing Alecsandro.
The mix is paying dividends. Sporting beat Inter Milan at Alvalade and drew 1-1 at Spartak Moscow, with Nani leveling the score in the second-half.
The club leads the Portuguese league with FC Porto and hasn't conceded a goal since the opening day of the season.
``Sporting has a very young team. It plays attractive soccer and Liedson is a very dangerous striker,'' Magath said.
Bayern is without veteran midfielder Mehmet Scholl, who usually comes off the bench if the team is trailing. Scholl, 36, has a slight leg muscle strain.
Magath won't say if Bayern will start with three strikers _ a system the team has used before this season, most recently in last weekend's 4-2 win over Hertha Berlin.
Midfielder Mark van Bommel and striker Claudio Pizarro are also with the team, despite being substituted against Berlin with minor injuries. Magath said they would be fit.
``We are not obliged to dictate play in Lisbon, but with a victory we are all but through,'' Magath said.
