Alan Curbishley is interested in replacing Alan Pardew as West Ham's manager.
A day after West Ham fired Pardew, Curbishley, who had a successful 15 years as coach at Charlton, said on Tuesday he would listen to whatever the east London club had to offer.
``West Ham want to talk to me and I would love to know what they have to say,'' Curbishley wrote in his column in the Daily Express. ``Of course I am interested,'' the former West Ham midfielder said.
Curbishley's name was mentioned as a replacement for Pardew immediately after the Hammers announced on Monday that the manager had been fired.
The club's new owner, Icelandic businessman Eggert Magnusson, saw West Ham lose 4-0 at Bolton on Saturday to stay in the relegation zone in 18th place.
West Ham also has been eliminated from the UEFA Cup and League Cup. Its form is in stark contrast to last season's performances when West Ham finished ninth in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup final only to lose on penalty kicks to Liverpool.
