Norwich has appointed former Celtic midfielder Peter Grant as its new manager, two weeks after firing Nigel Worthington.
Grant has signed a 3{-year contract with the Canaries after moving from West Ham, where he was an assistant to manager Alan Pardew.
``It's a fantastic opportunity,'' Grant said Monday. ``It's a great honour and a great privilege and I'm looking forward to it.
``I know the expectations that are here and we all look forward to that challenge. Not only of getting Norwich back to the Premiership, but also trying to keep them there.''
Under Worthington, Norwich was promoted to the Premier League in 2004, but lasted only one season.
