Babayaro to serve three-game ban

Newcastle defender Celestine Babayaro will serve a three-game ban for violent conduct after pleading guilty Friday to a challenge on Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt.

The incident took place in Liverpool's 2-0 Premier League victory at Anfield on Wednesday. It was missed by officials covering the game, but seen on a video replay.

He will miss Sunday's game against Everton, and matches against Manchester United and Bolton.
