The Vancouver Whitecaps kept their chances of
getting a playoff bye alive after defeating the Seattle Sounders
3-2 on Friday night.
Eduardo Sebrango, Joey Gjertsen and David Testo scored for
Vancouver, while Jamal Sutton scored a pair to pace the Sounders.
With the win, Vancouver improved to 11-6-10 for 43 points and
moved within three points of the second-place Rochester Raging
Rhinos (12-4-10). The top two teams in the league receive byes past
the first round of the USL playoffs.
Vancouver finishes the season this Sunday at home against the
Atlanta Silverbacks, while Rochester plays its last two games at
home to the Minnesota Thunder on Saturday and away to the Charleston
Battery on Sunday.
