The Czech Republic downed Canada 2-0 Wednesday in a men's under-20 soccer friendly.
The Europeans scored in the 56th and 86th minutes.
``I think the scoreline may have been a little harsh today as there were chances for both teams,'' said Canadian coach Dale Mitchell. ``What you can't deny is the quality of the opposition in making and taking theirs.''
The two teams meet again Friday.
Canada is preparing for the 2007 world under-20 championships, which will be held in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria.
