LONG POND, Pa. (AP) _ Tony Stewart is done talking about his injured shoulder.
With Stewart's gutty third-place finish in Sunday's Pocono 500, the defending NASCAR champ showed he can drive as well with one bum shoulder as he can with two good ones.
Stewart felt no soreness and said he felt close to full strength after driving all 500 miles two weeks after he broke his right shoulder blade at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
``I feel like I could run another 500-mile race right now and still feel the same,'' he said.
Looking relaxed before the race with his arms folded as he leaned against his No. 20 Chevrolet, Stewart grinned as he watched a highlights package of himself on the big screen before sliding into his car.
This was one performance to add to that highlight reel.
Stewart completed 38 laps at Dover International Speedway last week before using Ricky Rudd as a relief driver. Stewart, whose car was fitted with a new seat that was wider in the shoulder area, had no relief driver Sunday.
Stewart shouted to his crew over the radio, ``We're back!'' as he crossed the finish line and looked none the worse for wear as he climbed out of his No. 20 Chevrolet, high-fiving his crew.
``Not bad for a gimp. I felt good all day in the car,'' he said. ``I'm sure when the adrenaline wears off I'm going to be sore.''
Stewart was helped considerably by driving this race on the 2 1/2-mile triangle at Pocono. Pocono's 3,740-foot straightaway is the longest in Nextel Cup, and turning the wheel didn't take as long as it did at the tricky mile-track at Dover.
``I think this will be the last time we'll talk about this shoulder,'' Stewart said. ``We're back and ready to go.''
Stewart, who moved from fifth to fourth in the points standings and led six laps, will take a day off before heading off for a road course test. Then it's on to Michigan, where he'll try and build on his seventh top-five finish of the season.
``We just had a solid day,'' Stewart said.
