Don't be surprised too see Carl Edwards or Matt Kenseth wearing red socks in the garage sometime soon.
Fenway Sports Group, the sports marketing subsidiary of the Boston Red Sox, has expressed interest in buying into Roush Racing. Owner Jack Roush said Friday the two sides are talking about a possible deal, but there was not yet an offer from John Henry's FSG group.
If an agreement is reached, Roush said he wouldn't sell more than 50 per cent of the organization to Henry's FSG, which is a separate entity from the partnership that owns the Boston Red Sox. Henry would be an investor in Roush Racing, not fielding teams under the Fenway Sports Group umbrella as a separate entity.
``Right now, there are discussions going on,'' Roush said. ``There's not a deal on the table. There may not be a deal that makes it to the table.''
