Felipe Massa is willing to relinquish victory in front of his home crowd to help Ferrari teammate Michael Schumacher clinch the Formula One title in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix.
The Brazilian driver said he can put aside his dream of winning a race at home if it comes down to aiding Schumacher in his battle against Fernando Alonso.
``As a Brazilian driver, this is the most important race,'' Massa said. ``But it's natural that I'll try to help Schumacher and the team.''
Schumacher's only chance of winning his eighth world title is to win Sunday's race and hope Alonso fails to finish in the top eight.
``Because of the circumstances in the drivers' championship, my race will take a different direction,'' Massa said. ``It won't be a problem to help him, I'll be glad to.''
Massa, who picked up his first F1 win at the Turkish GP in August, is third in the championship, one point ahead of Alonso's teammate at Renault, Giancarlo Fisichella.
