The San Jose Stealth acquired the No. 1 pick in the National Lacrosse League entry draft in a trade with New York, giving them the top two picks for Wednesday's draft.
The Stealth traded forwards Ryan Boyle, Matt Alrich and goalie Matt Vinc to expansion New York on Tuesday for the first overall pick, a conditional sixth round selection and Aaron Bold.
San Jose had acquired the No. 2 pick in a trade with the Chicago Shamrox in July.
If San Jose doesn't trade either selection, they will become the first club to select the first two players in the league's 21-year history.
Boyle was the 2005 NLL Rookie of the Year. He led all rookies that year with 22 goals and 42 assists, plus 95 loose balls. In 2006, he finished third on the Stealth in points with 16 goals and 28 assists.
Vinc was selected in the first round, sixth overall, in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft by San Jose. Alrich was taken by San Jose in the third round, 24th overall, in the 2004 draft. He had three goals and four assists while scooping up 21 loose balls in his second season with the Stealth.
The 2006 draft is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.
