Lakers move within one of Mann Cup victory by beating Victoria Shamrocks 12 5

The Lakers took a commanding 5-0 lead before halfway point of the first period and then exceled 8-1 after 20 minutes. Grant had four goals and four assists, Dan Carey scored four goals and an assist.

Scott Evans had two goals and two assists, and junior call-up Shawn Evans, the Minto Cup MVP, had a goal and two assists. Brian Croswell also netted one, while Tracey Kelusky chipped in three assists.

Victoria's Dan Dawson scored twice and Lewis Ratcliff had a goal and two assists. Tyler Heavenor and Sean Pollock also scored.

Goalie Pat O'Toole picked up the win for Peterborough.
