Mike MacLeod, Toronto's first pick in the 2006 National Lacrosse League entry draft, has signed a one-year deal with the Rock.
The Owen Sound, Ont., product was selected 15th overall. Earlier this month, he helped the Brock Badgers win the Canadian intercollegiate field lacrosse title. He scored four goals and assisted on 30 in 22 OLA junior games with the Orangeville Northmen last summer.

John Tavares, the all-time leading scorer in pro lacrosse, has re-signed with the Buffalo Bandits, director of operations Dave Zygaj announced Monday.
It's a one-year renewal worth US$25,552 _ the maximum for a franchise player under the National Lacrosse League's collective bargaining agreement with the players' association.
