Goaltender Kyle Moir made 26 saves to lead the visiting Swift Current Broncos to a 4-0 victory Tuesday over the struggling Prince George Cougars.
David Stieler and Daniel Rakos staked the Broncos (5-4-0-0) to a 2-0 lead in the first period, and Levi Nelson extended it to 3-0 in the second period. Kyle Bortis added the last goal, in the third.
Scott Bowles, 20, made his first start of the season for the Cougars and faced 21 shots. The Cougars are carrying four overagers with Thursday the deadline for WHL teams to be down to three 20-year-old players.
The Cougars (2-4-0-1) have now been blanked for 132 minutes, shut out their last two games. Including a shootout loss at home to the Vancouver Giants, the Cougars are on a four-game losing streak.
