Judd Blackwater scored two second-period goals to help the Spokane Chiefs beat Portland Winter Hawks 6-4 in WHL action Tuesday night.
The Chiefs also had goals from Michael Grabner, Evan Haw, Seth Compton and an empty-netter from Adam Hobson. Chris Bruton had three assists for the Chiefs (3-2-1-0).
Frazer McLaren, Rob Klinkhammer, Nick Hotson and Michael Sauer scored for the Winter Hawks (2-3-0-0).
Rookie Dustin Tokarski stopped 33 shots in net for Spokane, while Kurtis Mucha handled 22 shots for Portland.
Portland finished the night 2-for-8 on the power play while Spokane went 1-for-7 with the man advantage.
