Spencer Machacek notched a goal and
assisted on the winner as the Vancouver Giants rallied to defeat
the Saskatoon Blades 2-1 in Western Hockey League action Saturday
night.
Despite trailing for two periods, the defending WHL champion
Giants posted their 12th victory in their first 13 games. The Blades
dropped to 4-6-0-1.

Swift Current forward David Stieler
scored the shootout winner to lift the Swift Current Broncos to a
3-2 shootout victory over the visiting Saskatoon Blades in Western
Hockey League action Friday.
Stieler and Daniel Rakos were both able to beat Saskatoon
goaltender Blaine Neufeld in the shootout, while only Blades import
Rastislav Konecny was able to notch a shootout goal on Broncos
netminder Travis Yonkman.

Regina Pats edged the Saskatoon Blades 3-2 in Western Hockey League
action Saturday.
Pyett blasted a 45-footer through traffic six minutes into the

He later caught the far side on Holtby just 26 seconds into the
