Ryan Russell scored four goals to help the Kootenay Ice beat the Red Deer Rebels 7-3 in WHL action Wednesday night.
Curtis Billsten, Steve DaSilva and Michael Stickland also scored for the Ice.
Martin Hanzal, Devon LeBlanc and Luke Betts had goals for the Rebels.

assists Saturday to lead the Red Deer Rebels to a 6-3 Western Hockey
League win over the Kamloops Blazers Saturday.
Kirill Starkov also notched two goals for Red Deer (5-2-2-1),
with Brett Sutter and Dustin Moore adding singles.
Scoring for Kamloops (4-3-1-1), which led 3-1 after one period
but trailed 4-3 after 40 minutes, were Ray Macias, Juuso Puustinen
and Brock Nixon.

Lukas Zeliska scored the shootout winner
as the Prince Albert Raiders edged the Red Deer Rebels 4-3 in
Western Hockey League action Saturday.
Zeliska, one of two Raiders to connect in the shootout, also
scored in regulation time. Matt Robertson put away two for Prince
Albert (3-2-1-0), while Devon LeBlanc, with two goals, and Martin
Hanzal scored for Red Deer (4-2-2-0).
Raiders netminder Tyler Esau made 35 saves. James Reimer stopped
36 shots in the Rebels goal.

Ted Vandermeer's shootout goal lifted the Red Deer Rebels to a 3-2 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.
Vandermeer, the seventh Red Deer shooter, beat Hurricanes netminder Justin Leclerc with a backhand deke, giving the Rebels (4-2-1-0) sole possession of first place in the Central Division.
