Ice beat the Rebels 7 3

Ryan Russell scored four goals to help the Kootenay Ice beat the Red Deer Rebels 7-3 in WHL action Wednesday night.

Curtis Billsten, Steve DaSilva and Michael Stickland also scored for the Ice.

Martin Hanzal, Devon LeBlanc and Luke Betts had goals for the Rebels.

Kris Lazaruk stopped 24 of 26 shots for the Ice in two periods of action and Taylor Dakers stopped six of seven shots.

Morgan Clark deflected 24 of 30 shots in two periods for the Rebels, while James Reimer made eight of nine saves through 20 minutes of work.
