Cody Almond and Clayton Barthel both scored
third period goals as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Portland
Winter Hawks 4-2 in WHL action Wednesday.
Chris Ray and Lucas Bloodoff also scored for the Hurricanes.
Portland's Rob Klinkhammer scored his fourth goal in four games,
while Michael Sauer scored a power-play goal in the second period
for the Winter Hawks.
Kelowna goalie Kristofer Westblom finished with 26 saves, while
Kurtis Mucha of the Hawks finished with 20.
Kelowna (2-6-0-1) won its first home game of this season, and
Portland (2-4-0-0) lost its second straight on the road.
