Goaltender Dustin Butler, in his first start
with Kamloops, posted the shutout as the Blazers beat the Chilliwack
Bruins 2-0 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.
Butler, acquired Tuesday from the Portland Winter Hawks, stopped
25 shots.
Freshman left-winger Matt Schmermund and sophomore defenceman
Ryan White scored for Kamloops (2-2-1-1), registering their first
WHL goals.
The Bruins (1-5-0-0) have lost five in a row.
Chilliwack goaltender Andrew Pinsent stopped 11 shots before
being relieved by Alex Archibald to start the second period.
Archibald stopped 19 of 20 shots.
