The streak is over ... finally.
Craig Lineker scored with 5:12 remaining in the third period to
propel the Chilliwack Bruins to a 4-2 victory over the Spokane
Chiefs in Western Hockey League action Saturday, snapping
Chilliwack's 11-game losing skid.
The last time the Bruins won was the season opener against
Kelowna exactly one month ago.
Oscar Moller, with two, and Myles Stoesz also scored for
Chilliwack (2-10-1-0), which lost 5-2 in Kelowna on Friday.
Corey Courchene and David Rutherford replied for Spokane
(5-5-2-0), which lost 3-0 in Vancouver on Friday.
Lineker's goal, his first of the season, sent the Bruins bench
and the 4,892 fans in attendance bonkers.
Watt finished with 35 saves, including all 17 shots he faced in
the third period.
Armstrong finished with 22 saves.
