Brodie Dupont scored twice and added an assist to
lead the Calgary Hitmen to a convincing 6-1 win over the Moose Jaw
Warriors in Western Hockey League action Friday night.
Derek LeBlanc also notched two goals in the game for Calgary
(6-4-0-1), while Michael Hengen had a goal and an assist. Karl
Alzner also scored, while Keegan Dansereau, Ryan White and Steve
Covington each had two assists.
Riley Holzapfel had the lone goal for the Warriors (3-6-0-0),
while Kendall McArdle failed to score on a penalty shot early in the
third period.
Calgary goaltender Dan Spence stopped 20 of 21 shots he faced to
record the victory. Meanwhile Moose Jaw goalie Joey Perricone, who
was replaced in net by Kurt Jory for the final 3:51 of the second
period, made 25 saves in a losing cause.
The Hitmen went 3-for-10 with the man advantage, while the
Warriors converted one of their nine power-play chances.
