Sagniaw Spirit trounce Kingston Frontenacs 8 1

Tom Pyatt grabbed a hat trick as the Saginaw Spirit trounced the Kingston Frontenacs 8-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday.

Jan Mursak got five points with a goal and four assists, while Tyler Haskins, Patrick Asselin, Ryan McDonough and Ryan Berard also scored Saginaw (6-3-0-1). Ryan Daniels saved 25 shots for the win.

Ben Shutron got the lone goal for the Frontenacs (3-5-0-1).

Kevin Opsahl stopped 26 shots and allowed all 8 goals, before being replaced by Daryl Borden with 6:58 remaining. Borden made 4 saves.
