Trevor Lewis scored with 1:09 remaining in
the third period to lift the Owen Sound Attack to a 3-2 win over the
Brampton Battalion in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.
The game appeared to be headed for overtime until Anaheim Ducks
prospect Bobby Ryan, the second overall draft pick in the 2005 NHL
draft, found Lewis behind the Brampton (4-4-1-1) net. Lewis caught
goaltender Aaron Rock off guard, firing a wrist shot from close
range past Rock's blocker side.
It took over 35 minutes of play before the game saw its first
goal.
Cody Hodgson scored on the power play with 4:15 remaining in the
second period, jamming home a loose puck at the side of the net past
Attack goaltender Neil Conway.
Owen Sound (7-1-0-1) tied the game with 1:20 remaining in the
second, when Marcus Carroll scored his first goal of the season on a
feed from Zach McCullough.
Justin Levac gave the home side a 2-1 lead just over a minute
into the third period but Ryan tied things up just under six minutes
later.
