Generals slip by Wolves 5 4

Vaclav Meidl scored the shootout winner as the Oshawa Generals slipped by the Sudbury Wolves 5-4 in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday.

Dean Howard and John Tavares put away two apiece in regulation for the Generals (3-5-0-0).

Akim Aliu scored twice for Sudbury (4-6-0-1), while Jonathan D'Aversa and Kevin Baker had one each.

Carlo DiRienzo had 17 saves in regulation and three more in the shootout for the win, while Kevin Beech stopped 15 at the other end, including two in the shootout.
