Halischuk scores hat trick, leading Kitchener to 8 2 victory over Oshawa

Matt Halischuk scored a hat trick to lead the Kitchener Rangers to a 8-2 victory over the Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday.

Nick Spaling, Jakub Kindl, Jean-Michel Rizk, Kevin Henderson and Victor Oreskovich added one each for the Rangers (4-6-0-2).

John Tavares and Brett Parnham accounted for Oshawa's (3-6-0-1) goals.

John Murray made 38 saves for the win.

Carlo DiRienzo allowed four goals in ten minutes before being replaced by Anthony Peters, who stopped 18 shots.
