Jean-Michel Rizk's goal with less than a second remaining in the second period was the game-winner in the Kitchener Rangers' 3-2 victory Monday over the Guelph Storm.
Rizk beat Storm netminder Thomas McCollum with just six-tenths of a second showing on the clock. Victor Oreskovich and Nick Spaling added first-period goals for the Rangers (3-4-0-0), with Oreskovich adding an assist to take over the team lead with seven points.
Jamie Arniel and Tyler Melancon replied for the Storm (4-2-1-1), who are winless in three. Guelph was 1-for-8 with the man advantage, while Kitchener scored just once in 13 power plays.
John Murray earned the win with a 16-save performance for the Rangers.
McCollum stopped 31 shots in place of Jason Guy, who was pulled from the Storm net after allowing two goals on the first three shots he saw.
