Jamie McGinn's early goal for Ottawa sent the 67's a clear
message _ relax.
McGinn led Ottawa to its first win of the season, a 4-1 win over
the Kingston Frontenacs in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday.
He scored just 19 seconds into the game and later added a
power-play goal.
``It's a little more relaxing in the (dressing) room now,''
McGinn said. ``We were starting to get nervous before the games. We
wanted to make sure we came out hard right from the get-go and it's
good we got a goal right off the bat.''
Elsewhere in OHL action Sunday, it was: Toronto 5, Sudbury 4;
Sarnia 6, Sault Ste. Marie 3; and Guelph 5, Kitchener 3.
At Ottawa, Jakub Vojta and Jesse Biduke also scored for the 67's
(1-2-0-0), who avenged a 9-5 opening-night loss at Kingston nine
days earlier.
Kingston (2-1-0-1), playing its first road game of the year,
suffered its first regulation loss, which spoiled the return of new
coach Bruce Cassidy to Ottawa where he starred as a player for the
67's.
Chris Stewart had the Frontenacs' lone goal during a 5-on-3 power
play and Darryl Borden made 37 saves, including a penalty shot stop
on Kiriakou in the third period.
Majors 5, Wolves 4
At Toronto, Matt Caria scored the game winner at 19:05 of the
third period as the Majors squeaked by Sudbury.
Sting 6, Greyhounds 3
At Sarnia, Ont., Ryan Wilson registered two goals and an assist
as the Sting beat Sault Ste. Marie.
Storm 5, Rangers 3
At Guelph, Ont., Rafael Rotter scored two goals as the Storm
downed Kitchener.
