Teemu Selanne of the Anaheim Ducks scored his 500th career goal Wednesday night against the Colorado Avalanche. Selanne sent a wrist shot past goalie Jose Theodore at 14:54 of the second period. Andy McDonald set up the goal with a cross-ice pass. The 36-year-old Selanne became the 36th player in NHL history to reach the milestone. He joined Jari Kurri as the only Finnish-born NHL players to score 500 goals.
