Retief Goosen's International lineup started the day with a one-point lead over the Europe-United States combination after dominating Monday's foursomes.
Sweden's Henrik Stenson won Tuesday's opening singles match 3 and 2 against India's Jeev Singh to level the score.
Most of the singles matches were close, with International winning three, the Europe-U.S. team winning three and the other two halved.
The Ryder Cup nations took something out of the contest, with Scotland's Colin Montgomerie beating opposing captain Goosen in their singles encounter.
The Goodwill Trophy was played on the Jack Nicklaus-designed course at Mission Hills Golf Club, China.
