Weir all square after 18 holes at World Match Play Championship

Canadian Mike Weir was all square with England's Paul Casey after 18 holes in the quarter-finals of the World Match Play Championship on Thursday.

The left-hander from Bright's Grove, Ont., led three times during the first 18 holes despite carding four bogeys and three birdies.

American Shawn Micheel, who upset Tiger Woods on Wednesday, was 5-up over England's Luke Donald after 18 holes.

The championship offers the richest prize in golf among official events _ with about US$1.87 million going to the winner.
