Fan favourite John Daly was among four players to withdraw from the Canadian Open on Tuesday.
U.S. Ryder Cup player Chris DiMarco also withdrew along with Ben Crane and Vance Veazey.
The players didn't cite reasons for pulling out of the tournament, which starts Thursday at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club.
Daly's announcement comes five days after he withdrew from a tournament in Germany because of a gastrointestinal virus.
The 40-year-old Daly spent a couple of hours at a Munich hospital last Thursday morning and doctors advised him not to play in the BMW International.
The four players were replaced in the Canadian Open field by Alex Aragon, Ryan Hietala, Bill Glasson and John Engler Jr.
