Fan favourite John Daly was among four players to withdraw from the Canadian Open on Tuesday. U.S. Ryder Cup player Chris DiMarco also withdrew along with Ben Crane and Vance Veazey. John Daly withdrew from the BMW International at Nord-Eichenried on Thursday after being hospitalized with a gastrointestinal virus. Daly, who won the event in 2001, was taken to a hospital in Munich on Thursday morning where doctors advised him not to play in the tournament.
