SEATTLE (AP) _ Defensive end Bryce Fisher, who had been benched
by Seattle after starting for two seasons, has been traded to
Tennessee.
Fisher's agent, Peter Schaffer, confirmed the deal Tuesday.
Fisher, a seven-year veteran, had been replaced as a starter with
the faster Darryl Tapp, the Seahawks' second-round draft choice in
2006.
He is the second former Seattle player the Titans have added
since June under new general manager Mike Reinfeldt, who joined
Tennessee after working as a ...

First it was Shaun Alexander, then Matt Hasselbeck sidelined with injuries.
Now, it's leading receiver Darrell Jackson.
Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said Monday that Jackson will not be able to play Thursday night against San Francisco, another blow for Seattle's injury-riddled offence.
Jackson has turf toe, suffered on his last reception in Sunday's 27-21 loss at Arizona. Jackson caught a 23-yard pass from Hasselbeck with 3:15 left, but didn't return ...

The unusual continues for the head-shaking
Seattle Seahawks.
The latest rarity has centre Robbie Tobeck in a Seattle-area
hospital indefinitely with an abscess in his left hip _ just as
fellow Pro Bowlers Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck are returning
to the offence.
``Only this year,'' coach Mike Holmgren said with a smirk
following Friday's practice.
Tobeck, a 13-year veteran whom the Seahawks (6-4) value for his
sage line calls and blocking audibles, has missed the previous two
games with ...

Injured Seattle standouts Shaun Alexander and quarterback Matt Hasselbeck returned to practice Wednesday _ with mixed results.
While Hasselbeck favored his sprained right knee for part of the practice, Alexander ran 11 plays with Seattle's first-team offense for the first time in seven weeks since breaking his left foot. The 2005 league rushing champion ran at less than full speed but showed no signs of any pain in a foot ...

Shaun Alexander's doctors have reversed field. So now the league MVP can begin to prove that he can be the same again.
Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will be right behind him.
Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said Monday that both of his injured stars may play Sunday at San Francisco, pending tests in practice this week.
Doctors have cleared Alexander to fully practice Wednesday for the first time in eight ...

For years, teams facing the Seahawks at home have
tried silent snap counts, blaring music during practices and other
tricks to combat Seattle's notoriously raucous crowd noise.
Minnesota Vikings linebacker E.J. Henderson figured out a way to
take the crowd and the Seahawks out of it on the same play.
Henderson rolled into Matt Hasselbeck's right leg early in the
second half of a tie game, sending the Pro Bowl quarterback to the
locker room for the ...

The luck of the Rams finally ran out.
Twice this season _ against Arizona and Green Bay _ St. Louis was on the verge of losing, only to be saved by late-game fumbles by opponents. It almost happened again Sunday, but Seattle's Josh Brown kicked a 54-yard field goal as time expired to give Seattle an improbable 30-28 win.
``It was a great game to watch, I'm sure,'' Seattle coach ...

This is the week the St. Louis Rams get to prove their 4-1 record isn't a fluke.
The oddsmakers think it is _ Seattle is a three-point favourite in St. Louis. Yes, the same Seahawks who when last seen were being pounded 37-6 by Chicago.
But everyone gets pounded by the Bears. And Seattle, the defending NFC champion, had a week off to lick its wounds and work on ways ...

The Seattle Seahawks' charter plane made an emergency landing early Monday morning to get medical care for Ray Rhodes, a special defensive assistant and former NFL head coach.
Coach Mike Holmgren said upon his return Monday from Seattle's 37-6 loss at Chicago that the stop in Rapid City, S.D., was because Rhodes ``felt faint.'' The stop was made on the advice of team physicians on board. Rhodes was taken from ...
