Indianapolis kicker Adam Vinatieri missed his second straight game, sitting out the Colts' game against the New York Jets on Sunday with a groin injury.
Wide receiver Reggie Wayne was in the starting lineup after missing a few days of practice to be with his family after his older brother, Rashad, was killed in a traffic accident last Sunday.
Vinatieri hasn't kicked in a game since he was injured in the second half of the Colts' win over the Houston Texans two weeks ago. Martin Gramatica replaced Vinatieri for the second straight week.
Cornerback Nick Harper (ankle, groin), safety Bob Sanders (thigh, knee), wide receiver Brandon Stokley (ankle), defensive tackle Corey Simon (knee), cornerback Marlin Jackson (concussion) and defensive tackle Dan Klecko (lower back) were also inactive for the Colts.
For the Jets, cornerback David Barrett was inactive with a groin injury. Starting guard Pete Kendall (hamstring) was back for New York after missing the last two games.
Running back Derrick Blaylock was inactive for the second straight week after starting the first two games for the Jets. Coach Eric Mangini will go with a rotation of Kevan Barlow, Leon Washington and Cedric Houston, active for the second week in a row after not playing the first two games.
