Glenn scores two touchdowns to lead Cowboys past Titans 45 14

Terry Glenn overshadowed teammate Terrell Owens and spoiled Vince Young's NFL debut in the same game Sunday.

Glenn caught two touchdown passes to lead the Dallas Cowboys past the Tennessee Titans 45-14. Young, taken third in the 2006 NFL draft, made his first career start and looked very much like a rookie.

He was sacked twice and intercepted twice as well, with Bradie James returning the second 15 yards for a touchdown. Young also lost a fumble and finished 14-of-29 passing for 155 yards while rushing for just three yards on five carries.

Owens played with his broken right hand protected by a plate and a glove only five days after his hospital visit for an accidental overdose. He had five catches for 88 yards but also dropped a pass in the end zone because he was unable to pull it in with his injured hand.

In other action, it was: Indianapolis Colts 31, New York Jets 28; Baltimore Ravens 16, San Diego Chargers 13; Kansas City Chiefs 41, San Francisco 49ers 0; Houston Texans 17, Miami Dolphins 15; Atlanta Falcons 32, Arizona Cardinals 10; Buffalo Bills 17, Minnesota Vikings 12; and Carolina Panthers 21, New Orleans Saints 18.

At Nashville, Tenn., there was some added drama when Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth stomped on Dallas centre Andre Gurode's face and was ejected. Gurode needed stitches above his left eye.

The Cowboys (2-1) punted only once and ran for 217 of their 369 total yards. Julius Jones ran 23 times for 122 yards and a touchdown.

The Titans dropped to 0-4.

Colts 31, Jets 28

At East Rutherford, N.J., Justin Miller's 103-yard kickoff return was the quick score the Jets (2-2) needed. But after Miller's return gave New York the lead with 2:20 left, Peyton Manning led Indianapolis (4-0) on the winning drive, capping it with a one-yard run for the deciding touchdown.

Ravens 16, Chargers 13

At Baltimore, Steve McNair hit Todd Heap with a 10-yard touchdown pass with 34 seconds remaining to give the Ravens (4-0) their only lead in the game. LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 98 yards on 27 carries for the Chargers (2-1), who got a touchdown on their first possession and never reached the end zone after that.

Chiefs 41, 49ers 0

At Kansas City, Mo., Damon Huard threw two touchdown passes as the Chiefs (1-2) registered their first shutout in almost four years. Dante Hall scored a 60-yard punt return, his 11th career return TD. San Francisco (1-3) suffered its first shutout since 2004 and only its second since 1977.

Texans 17, Dolphins 15

At Houston, David Carr's one-yard touchdown run led the Texans (1-3) to their first win. Miami (1-3) rallied from a 17-9 deficit with Daunte Culpepper's 16-yard TD strike to Chris Chambers with under two minutes remaining but running back Ronnie Brown missed Chambers for the two-point convert.

Falcons 32, Cardinals 10

At Atlanta, DeAngelo Hall returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown and Jerious Norwood had a 78-yard TD run for the Falcons (3-1). Matt Leinart replaced starter Kurt Warner with 13 minutes left for Arizona (1-3) and will start next week.

Bills 17, Vikings 12

At Orchard Park, N.Y., J.P. Losman threw for 222 yards and a touchdown and set up another TD with a 15-yard scramble as Buffalo (2-2) snapped a four-game home losing streak. Brad Johnson had a 29-yard TD pass to Marcus Robinson for Minnesota (2-2).

Panthers 21, Saints 18

At Charlotte, N.C., Jake Delhomme's four-yard TD pass to Drew Carter midway through the fourth put Carolina (2-2) ahead to stay. The Saints (3-1) made it interesting on rookie Marques Colston's 86-yard touchdown catch with 1:15 left and Drew Brees hit Joe Horn for the two-point convert to make it 21-18. But Carolina's Nick Goings recovered the onside kick. Saints rookie Reggie Bush had 22 yards rushing on 11 carries and lost a fumble.
