Thomas Davis and Al Wallace missed practice for the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday and are questionable for Sunday's game at Cincinnati.
Running back DeAngelo Williams also missed practice and is doubtful with a sprained right ankle. He is expected to be out for a couple of weeks.
Davis, who has been starting at outside linebacker, injured his ribs against Baltimore last Sunday. He played mostly at safety as a rookie.
``It's something that you really don't want to happen as a player, especially if you are trying to get a feel for a new position,'' said Davis. ``You feel like you have some momentum going and then you have a setback like this. So I'm just looking forward to getting back on the field.''
Rookie James Anderson filled in for Davis after he was injured in Baltimore and could start in his place in Cincinnati.
Wallace, a reserve defensive end, injured his arm against the Ravens.
``I have a bone bruise,'' Wallace said. ``I'm just trying to rest it today and see how it feels. I expect to be back in there on Sunday.''
Safety Shaun Williams practised Wednesday and is listed as questionable for a right foot injury.
Centre Justin Hartwig, who has missed the past five games with a pulled groin, practised Wednesday and is not listed on the injury report. But it's uncertain if Hartwig, who signed a US$17-million, five-year deal in the off-season, will replace Geoff Hangartner as the starter.
