PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) _ Quarterback J.P. Losman was held out for
the start of Buffalo Bills training camp Thursday after straining
his lower back working out this week.
Coach Dick Jauron listed Losman as day to day, but noted the
quarterback will be placed on the physically unable to perform list.
Losman can be activated off the list at any time.
``It won't have a lot of impact. Hopefully, it'll be very
short-lived and he'll be right ...

Bills strong safety Matt Bowen could see his first action of the season when Buffalo hosts Green Bay on Sunday.
Bowen hasn't played since breaking a bone in his lower right leg in the Bills' first pre-season game against Carolina nearly three months ago. This week was the first time this season that he was not listed on the team's injury report and he participated in all practices.
``He's getting ...

Corey Dillon's refreshed legs were all the New England Patriots needed against the Buffalo Bills.
Dillon's two touchdowns rushing in the first half gave the Patriots an early lead, and New England went on to rout Buffalo 28-6 Sunday.
It didn't matter that Dillon, who enjoyed his 17th career multiple TD game, finished with only 47 yards rushing and the Patriots generated a mere 265 yards of offence.

Defensive end Anthony Hargrove, who lost his starting job with the St. Louis Rams after skipping two days of practice and meetings this season, was traded Monday to the Buffalo Bills for a fifth-round draft choice in 2007.
Hargrove was inactive Sunday, when the Rams lost 30-28 to Seattle, and has played just three games this season. The third-round selection out of Georgia Tech in 2004 played in 35 games ...

Troy Vincent is a free agent after the Buffalo Bills granted the veteran defensive back's wish to be released Thursday.
The team announced in a two-paragraph statement that it terminated Vincent from its injured reserve list.
Vincent told The Associated Press earlier in the day that he anticipated the move, saying he made the request to be released on Wednesday. The 15-year NFL veteran said he's open to offers to ...

Troy Vincent expects the Buffalo Bills to grant his wish to be released by the end of this week.
The veteran defensive back told The Associated Press on Thursday he made the request Wednesday and is waiting for the Bills to complete the paperwork. The 15-year NFL veteran said he's fully recovered from a left hamstring injury that led the team to place him on injured reserve four weeks ago. ...

Bills starting cornerback Nate Clements missed practice Wednesday because of a sore right quadriceps, and it's uncertain whether he'll play against Detroit this weekend.
Coach Dick Jauron held out hope that Clements will be able to practise by Friday and ready to play Sunday.

Bills rookie defensive tackle John McCargo is out indefinitely after surgery Monday to repair a broken left foot.
Coach Dick Jauron said it's not clear how much time the first-round draft pick will miss, adding he first wanted to consult with McCargo and the team's training staff.
Jauron spoke before the team announced the extent of McCargo's injury on its website.
McCargo was hurt in the fourth quarter of Buffalo's ...

The Chicago Bears ruined Dick Jauron's homecoming
with an offensive explosion like he never witnessed during five
years as their head coach.
The stifling defence was pretty impressive, too. Rex Grossman
threw two touchdown passes, Cedric Benson scored his first two NFL
touchdowns and the Bears forced five turnovers in a 40-7 drubbing of
Jauron's Buffalo Bills that launched Chicago to its first 5-0 start
since 1986.
Robbie Gould aided the cause with four field goals, improving to
17-for-17 ...

Starting right guard Chris Villarrial did not practice Wednesday because of a right ankle injury and is expected to miss this weekend's game at Chicago.
Villarrial was listed as doubtful, and coach Dick Jauron said he will need at least a week of rest. Jauron said tests revealed the injury was to a tendon in Villarrial's ankle, and not a high ankle sprain as initially feared.
Villarrial was hurt in ...

Buffalo quarterback J.P. Losman did
just enough to provide the Bills with enough points to hold off
another comeback by the Minnesota Vikings.
Losman passed for 222 yards and a touchdown and set up another
score with a 15-yard scramble Sunday and Buffalo beat Minnesota
17-12 when the clock ran out with the Vikings on the Bills' 16-yard
line.
A week ago, Losman had three turnovers in a loss to the New York
Jets, but the second-year starter ...
